Position
The Administrative Assistant for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. is responsible for coordinating all front office activities to ensure the business flows smoothly. They are proficient at answering, screening, and transferring calls to relevant departments, entering data into systems accurately and with an exceptional attention to detail. They are also responsible for managing the estimator’s schedule. They function as the face of the company and greet guests, employees, and clients with superior customer service via email, phone, and the company’s social media channels. The Administrative Assistant must be bi-lingual and have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish. It is preferred for the Administrative Assistant to have previous office setting experience.

Position
The Human Resources - Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. has exceptional attention to detail and is responsible for various duties relating to maintaining accurate and current accounts payable and accounts receivable, including data entry, generating statements, and timely communication with appropriate individuals or entities regarding charges, payments, notices, the status of accounts payable and accounts receivable, and related information. They follow up with collections on past due accounts as needed, reconcile vendor and credit card accounts, and process payroll for the company on a bi-weekly basis. They are proficient in maintaining employee records and ensuring that internal databases are kept accurate and up to date. They must be bi-lingual and have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish to communicate effectively with the company employees, clients, and the public.

They have some experience with routine maintenance such as brake replacements, tune ups, tire repair, and oil changes. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding shop needs or concerns and work well in a team setting. They must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean driving record. They must be able to provide their own tools.

Small Engine Mechanic
Pay starting at $18 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Small Engine Mechanics for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for the servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of equipment common to landscape construction and maintenance such as power mower, tractors, line -trimmers, chainsaws, and edgers. Small Engine Mechanics are responsible for scheduling and conducting regular preventative maintenance inspection and repairs on any/all company equipment as well as performing any emergency repairs needed. They update and maintain electronic record keeping system for repairs and maintenance of equipment. Small Engine Mechanics may assist with instruction of safety and maintenance standards of equipment to staff and monthly safety meetings when required. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding shop needs or concerns and work well in a team setting. They must hold an insurable driver’s license and a clean driving record.

- Minimum of 1 year of shop, mechanic or fleet experience

Position
Auto Mechanics for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. perform diagnostic and repair work, including scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to vehicles (medium, and heavy commercial/DOT-regulated vehicles and forklifts), landscape trailers, construction equipment and trailers. Auto Mechanics update and maintain electronic record keeping system for repairs and maintenance of vehicles. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding shop needs or concerns and work well in a team setting. They must hold an insurable driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Mechanic Foreman
Pay starting at $25.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Mechanic Foremen for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repairs on two cycle equipment, light powered equipment, vehicles (trucks), landscape trailers, construction equipment and trailers. They maintain equipment maintenance and repair schedules and prioritize workloads for the mechanic shop for the day. They maintain a safe working environment and provide high quality control standards while maintaining high levels of equipment readiness. Mechanic Foremen assist with scheduled maintenance and repairs to ensure a timely return of equipment to service and communicate effectively with department managers regarding job assignments, the progress of assigned tasks, and assist in coordinating equipment back fill when needed. They maintain vehicle and equipment records by annotating services and repairs in computer-based system. They are responsible for maintaining inventory of all parts, tools, and equipment. Mechanic Foremen must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, clean driving record, and be able to operate a variety of light power-driven equipment.

Certified Applicators must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license, clean driving record, and current OPM applicators license. OPM Turf and Ornamentals and Right of Way category licenses are required.

- OPM applicators license or approved application and successful test completion within 90 days

- Demonstrate knowledge of common plant and weed identification

They are responsible for maintaining and reporting the chemical inventory on a regular basis.

Chemical/Pest Department Coordinator
Pay starting at $19.00 per hour dependent upon experience
Position
Chemical/Pest Department Managers for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for the oversight of Level 1 & 2 Chemical Applicators as well as scheduling training and routes for both the chemical and irrigation technicians. They manage and report on the status of daily work. They effectively interact with all clients and potential clients and process billing for one-time chemical department jobs. They are responsible for maintaining and ordering special parts for the department. They assist with departmental trainings and communicate effectively with their crew, clients, and the public. They at a minimum have a current OPM applicators license. It is preferred for the Chemical/Pest Department Manager to also hold OPM Turf and Ornamentals and Right of Way category licenses.

Position
Construction Laborers for Victor’s Landscaping, Inc. are responsible for performing tasks involving physical labor at many different types of construction landscape projects as dictated by job assignments from the company. They perform labor intensive work on a regular basis. They are proficient in performing all landscape construction tasks and must have the ability to meet company production rates and standards. Construction Laborers make use of many tools and equipment common to landscape construction in order to complete their assigned tasks and are expected to do so in a safe and knowledgeable manner. They communicate effectively with lead people regarding job assignments and the progress of assigned tasks.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous landscape construction experience is a plus
- Demonstrate knowledge of common plant identification
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of sprinkler and drip irrigation systems, hardscape, and other areas related to landscaping needs
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must be able to safely complete steady physical work and tasks related to construction or excavating; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads

They have a general working knowledge of plant IDs and plant maintenance requirements. They have a basic understanding of irrigation systems, controller settings, and repairs beyond valves. Crew Leaders are proficient with all tools common to landscape maintenance (push mower, riding lawnmower, line trimmer, hedge shears, blower, etc.) They have a general knowledge of applying post emergent herbicides. Crew Leaders communicate effectively with their crew, clients, and the public, and are able to successfully train their crew members. It is preferred for Crew Leaders to hold ALCA, OPM, and Smartscape Certifications.
Skills & Experience Required
- 2 years or more of landscape maintenance experience, residential and commercial
- Valid Arizona driver's license, clean MVR preferred
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of common plant, tree, weed, and pest identification
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage workload and meet time requirements
- Must be able to complete steady physical work; ability to bend, twist, and lift heavy loads
- Must have ability to lift a minimum of 75lbs or more on a regular basis
- Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to safely operate all tools and equipment common to landscape maintenance including hand tools and power tools
- Must have reliable transportation

They have a general working knowledge of plant IDs and plant maintenance requirements. They have a basic understanding of irrigation systems, controller settings, and repairs beyond valves. Foremen are proficient with all tools common to landscape maintenance (push mower, riding lawnmower, line trimmer, hedge shears, blower, etc.) They have a general knowledge of applying post emergent herbicides. Foremen communicate effectively with their crew, clients, and the public, and are able to successfully train their crew members. They must hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and clean driving record. It is preferred for Foremen to hold ALCA, OPM, and Smartscape Certifications.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years landscape maintenance experience, residential and commercial
- Must have a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience
- Valid Arizona driver's license, clean MVR
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of common plant, tree, weed, and pest identification
- Must be able to effectively communicate in both English and Spanish with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a professional manor
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English and Spanish
- Demonstrate ability to effectively manage workload and meet time requirements and regularly report to project manager/superintendent throughout the day
- Must be able to properly maintain, prepare, and safely operate all tools and equipment common to landscape maintenance including hand tools and power tools
- Ability to inspect and maintain daily maintenance of equipment/trailer and vehicle to ensure it is serviced as needed
- Must be able to onboard new crew members, including new foremen and crew leaders ; assess strengths, and provide mentorship
- Demonstrate ability to supervise, train, and assign daily tasks to crew members
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and similar programs
- ALCA, OPM, Smartscape, or additional landscape industry certifications preferred
